Aftercare & Advice
After a massage, your mind and body can feel like they're floating on a cloud. But what can you do to continue those blissful feelings and maximise the effects of your treatment?
Drink plenty of water - this will help wash away any toxins we've unearthed from your muscles and fascia
Expect more frequent toilet breaks - it's normal to need to go more than usual, as your body works its magic to detoxify
Steer clear of caffeine, smoking, and booze
Take it easy on the physical activity - avoid anything too strenuous, yoga and gentle stretching can be beneficial
Avoid sunbathing/sunbeds - the oil that’s been used can increase your risk of sun burn
Rest as much as possible - you might notice that you sleep better than normal
If you experience a reaction during or after your treatment, don't worry - it's what we call a contra-action. This is totally natural and is just part of the healing and detox process which should subside within 24-48 hours.
It is possible that you might experience: aches and pains, tiredness, dizziness, disorientation, nausea or emotional release
If you experience any severe pain or discomfort, it’s best to seek advice from your GP
